Will "Race to Nowhere" go anywhere?

Brickton Montessori School sponsored a showing of the movie Race to Nowhere last week.  The audience members came from neighborhood public schools, parochial schools, magnet schools, selective enrollment schools, schools for gifted and Montessori schools.   Despite our differences’, every person in the room cared about education and wanted schools to be places that were about children and learning.

It is hard to be the parent who opts out of the norm; I hope that this movie opens the door to more conversations about change.  The power for change lies in the hands and hearts of the parents. We don't have any expendable generations; it is time to stand up for our children.
