We Are Not Alone!

My professional development plan always includes presentations by a wide variety of educators.  Last summer I attended a workshop conducted by Angela Maeirs. While not a Montessori educator, her vision for her students resonated with mine.
Angela has some great ideas about utilizing technology as a learning tool. Her love and passion for creating environments for learning is contagious.
Here are a few excerpts from her White Paper on Student Engagement,
 26 Keys to Student Engagement

"Students with a strong sense of efficacy are more likely to challenge themselves with difficult tasks and be intrinsically motivated."
"When students feel valued, honored, and respected, there is an interest and energy in the process of learning that reaches far beyond the content we teach."
"Engaged learning is active..."

I am happy to have found someone to help me navigate new waters.  Let me know what you think about some of her ideas.
